In the mid '00s, amongst the strip bars and warehouses of pre convention center South Nashville, Tim Chad and Sherry performed a now legendary set of original dance music and solid covers at Shirley Street, invoking famous drummer/singer songwriters of an era gone by... when song, word, rhythmic vision, and studio magic were all steered by the kick pedal of the artist's heart, when big labels rewarded butt shaking results but also understood the distinct voice of a sensitive soldier of motion. The success of this concert lead to Tim Chad and Sherry's inevitable employment by two time, world touring, Silver Jews band. Already boasting musicians who have worked with projects as diverse as Candi Staton, Tomahawk, Crooked Fingers, Will Oldham, Charlie Louvin, Lambchop and many more, these world tours lead to TC&S's broad exposure, inspiring drummer/singer, Brian Kotzur, by proving his rhythms and lyricism were waiting to be accepted by hearts and hips across the globe. Notable appearances include Louisville, Kentucky's Annual, All Night Seidenfaden's Dance Derby and as "NOT PAVEMENT" for fellow drummer Bob Nastanovich and wife, Whitney's wedding band. We like to think this occasion inspired 2010's glorious return of Pavement but that's pure speculation. What is certain is Tim Chad and Sherry made a strong splash supporting their curation of All Tomorrow's Parties in Minehead, England. Drummer/singer, Brian Kotzur, can also be spotted in Harmony Korine's blockbuster curiousity, Trash Humpers.
